School Pictures
I hope everyone was pleased with school pictures.  The pictures went home yesterday.  If you are interested in retaking school pictures, the photographer will be here on November 30th.
Needed Supplies
This is the season to be thankful and I am very grateful for all of your support in our classroom.  This season also brings lots of colds, etc... and we are running out of "Wet Ones" to keep our hands clean.   We will welcome any donations of "Wet Ones" antibacterial wipes.  THANKS!
Parent/Teacher Conferences
I do have a schedule in the office for parent/teacher conferences.  Please contact Kathy Hirst at 967-2121 to schedule your conference.  I am looking forward to sharing with you all of the things your child is doing!  Smile
Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast
We will be celebrating this season of thanks by eating a Thanksgiving feast with Mrs. Mildner's class.  The feast is Tuesday, November 21st at 11:15am.  If you are donating food items, please deliver them cooked, between 10:45 and 11:15.  We do invite parents to come help serve food, and enjoy our time together.
Smokey the Bear
Today we had a special visit from a forest ranger and Smokey the Bear.  We listened to a presentation about a forest ranger's job, and watched a movie about kids playing with matches in the woods.  The message shared was that the forest is a home to many animals, and we need trees for many wooden things used in our lives.  Most importantly, the students remembered that matches are not toys.  As the presentation ended, each student got to shake Smokey's hand, or give him a great big bear hug!
CAP DAY
This week we are learning about the letter Cc.  We will have Cap Day on Friday, November 17.  Please send a baseball-style cap to school with your child on that day.
Reminder:
Please remember that baggy-books should come back to school each day.  On occasion we may be missing a book or two, but please make sure to return them when they are found.  Thanks!
