December 21, 2007

Thanks to all who participated in the American Girl Raffle. Kate Sessler, KCS grade two student, was the lucky winner!! Congratulations, Kate!

The district has purchased a subscription to United Streaming, a wonderful collection of videos designed to extend the curriculum in many areas, especially helpful in science and social studies. Parents and students can access the videos from home using the following login:

Username: cs2008

Password: student

Site: www.unitedstreaming.com

Check it out over vacation!

Please remember that all students being picked up need to be signed out in the gym at the end of the day. No students should be taken from the classrooms for any reason. I know this can be inconvenient for parents, but it is for the safety and protection of our students and we need your understanding and cooperation. Thanks.

School Climate Parent Surveys: It’s not too late! Please return your parent surveys after vacation. The school climate committee will be tallying the results in January. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!

If you have, or know of, a child who will be five by October 15, 2008, please contact the school to receive information regarding our Kindergarten Registration and Screening process…967-2121 or 967-5998.

REMEMBER!! SUBSCRIBE TO THE BLOGS!!! The classrooms, the programs, the KCPTA and Friday’s News are all on the blog. If you subscribe, each time a staff member or KCPTA member posts to the blog, the entry automatically goes to your email. This is the last paper copy of Friday’s News. Send me a note if you do not have access…we will continue to send you a paper copy if you need it.

The office will be closed over the break. However, both Kathy and I can be reached by email if you need something during this time. We will see you on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.

On behalf of all of the staff at Kennebunkport Consolidated School, I want to wish all of our families safe travel, time to spend with family and friends, a peace-filled holiday and a happy, healthy 2008.
