For the next two weeks, we will be learning about the first Thanksgiving.  Students learned about the pilgrims first year in America and all the hardships they faced.  We also focused on recycling this week.

Today was a sea of green at Consolidated with all our "Pride of the Port" shirts.  Don't forget your recycled hat tomorrow.  Also, please call the office for conferences.  Thanks, Nancy

We will be "all ears" about recycling next week at Consolidated.  There is something special happening every day.  This will culminate with a "recycled hat day" at Friday Morning Meeting.  Each child should make a recycled hat at home to wear to school next Friday.  Have fun!

We are all ready to go on our field trip on Monday down the Kennebunk River.  We learned this week about the many historical uses of the Kennebunk River starting with Native American settlements and then going from lumber mills to shipbuilding to recreation.  We will see where these activities took place on our field trip on Monday.  We will also notice how the river changes from its source at Kennebunk Pond to the mouth at Colony Beach with many spots at the meanders along the way.

 Don't forget to pack a bagged lunch on Monday.
