Kennebunk River field trip
We are scheduled to go on a field trip beginning at Kennebunk Pond and stopping at several points down the Kennebunk River ending at Colony Beach. We will talk about the historical uses of the Kennebunk River such as creating power, logging, native American settlements, boat building and recreation. The field trip is scheduled for Monday, Novermber 5th from 8:30 to 12:00 and more information will be coming in the permission slip. Please be prepared to bring a bag lunch that day to eat at the field trip. If you are available, I would love to have you as a chaperone. Let me know. Thanks, Nancy

Canned food drive
This school year the Kennebunkport Consolidated PTA is coordinating a "Food-Drive-A-Month" for local food banks. We have picked a monthly theme based on the suggested needs of the food bank. Please consider sending one or two items in with your child each month. There is a drop box in the lobby for your items.
October- Canned Meats
Such as beef stew, tuna fish, corned beef hash, canned chicken or ham
November- Side Dishes
Such as boxed mashed potatoes, instant rice, canned potatoes, boxes of stuffing, mac & cheese, baked beans, fruit cocktail

Walking Field Trip
We will be walking to Graves Library on Monday leaving school at 1:45. Your child will be allowed to take out a book IF they have a library card on record at Graves. If anyone wants to walk with us, you are more than welcome to join us. Thank you, Nancy

Don't forget! We will be walking to Ocean National Bank and the Kennebunkport Town Hall on Tuesday. Please make sure that your child is dressed for walking on Tuesday.
We will miss art on Tuesday but will have it on Thursday instead. This is part of our study of our community and community workers and what they do for everyone that lives in our town.
