Many many thanks to all of you

tha_you14.gif I just wanted to express my deepest thanks for all the kind words, wonderful student letters and gifts on the last day of school.  I watched the students grow each day and I told them that our class is like one big family.  A lot happened throughout the year and I can document their academic progress but I often forget how much they have grown in other areas.  When I get your letters that tell me how your childs attitude has changed towards school or about their social and emotional growth, I can think back and be proud of that.  It is with mixed emotion, that I know they are ready to fly the nest.  I will miss seeing them on a daily basis and knowing them so well but I am happy to know they have grown so much and they are ready to move on.  Thank you all for everything throughout the year and have a wonderful summer.  Nancy

Have a great summer!

sun.jpgAs the year winds down, I become very pensive, I reflect back on the time together with my students and think ahead of their next year.  My mind is filled with pride at their growth but sadness that they will  not be with me any more.  We are like a family as we get to know one another and we work hard together.  I know them very well.  I am happy that these birds are ready to fly the nest but I will miss them.  I have enjoyed this class very much.  Some of the students in this class, I have had for three years and they have a very special place in my heart. The beauty of Consolidated is that I have the ability to watch their growth and I will see them over the next several years.

This is the last full week of school and we will be ending with a little unit on oceans.  The following week is a two day week.  We will have field day on Monday.  If any parent is willing to help on that day, please let me know.  Tuesday is a half day.

I hope you have a wonderful summer with your delightful children.  My room is always open for them to visit next year and since I am in the line of where busses gets dropped off, I usually have quite a few visitors!  Enjoy the time you have together with your child, I know that I have ! Cool Nancy

Our last field trip of the year...

We will definitely be going to Odiorne State Park in Rye, N.H. on Thursday.  The weather looks like it is going to be cool but not raining!  Yeah!  Please be sure that your child is dressed in layers as for most of the day, we will be outside.  Also, your child needs a bagged snack and lunch with a drink.

There is room on the bus for chaperones or you can take your own car.  We will be leaving first thing in the morning and won't be back until 1:30ish.   Thank you so much!
