We learned about the continent of Antarctica this week in class. Do you know that Antarctica has 70% of the world's water and 90% of the world's ice? While we were learning about Antarctica, we also learned about the different kinds of penguins and a little bit about the Arctic. We will finish that this week.
There will be no school on Monday in order to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. We have been learning about him all week. Fortunately, it is hard for students to understand that this country once segregated due to color. Next week, we will be travel to Antarctica and learn about this continent and also learn about penguins.
