Thank you for supporting Family Read.  Your support is critical to this program.

We are progressing well with our Fabric Literacy Project.  Your student should have brought  home a book by a Maine author and a form.  Please read and reread this book, have your child retell the story in chronological order and return it to me by Thursday, January 18th.  Once they have all been returned, we will measure our fabric (12 inch square) and illustrate our favorite scene from the book.

Look for your child's finished hot mat hanging on the wall in the hall outside of their classroom soon.  Take note of the fun Maine fabrics included!

Thank you for your generous gifts for the holiday.  You are thoughtful parents and your support is welcomed and appreciated!

We will begin our Family Read program this Friday at 2:00 - 2:30.  Please come to the classroom, have a seat and wait for a child to read to you.  The children will read to as many adults as they can during this time.  We are hoping to build confidence and have fun while doing so.  At 2:30 the lights will flash signaling the end of the program.  We will do this every Friday for the rest of the year.  You are welcome to attend!
