Week of September 24th

What a great day Sunday was!  I hope everyone enjoyed it.  The children are bringing home Sally Foster gift wrap and gift materials today.  This will be a much lower key sale this year with no prizes or push.  We do need to remember that it has been a great fund raiser for our school, allowing KPTA to purchase things for our children's use in school that we wouldn't otherwise have.  If you have a computer, ordering over the internet is suggested.  Please expect spelling homework on Monday.  This will be due on Friday.  I suggest working with the words and sentences a bit each night.   Also, there should be a math paper Mon. through Thurs.  This should take about 10 minutes.  The other nightly homework is to read for 20 minutes or more nightly.

This Friday we will put on a short production about the Constitution at Friday Morning Meeting.  All the third graders are in this production.

Mrs. Boyd's Room

We have happily begun a new year in grade 3 room 15.  Last week Parker Schuerman of the Nature Conservancy visited us to talk about grasslands, specifically the Kennebunk Plain.  Today we visited the Plain in Kennebunk.  Luckily some of the rare Northern Blazing Star were still in bloom.
